Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the SynthSense application ("the app"), developed by Craig Cowden ("we," "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which apply to your use of the app and are incorporated by reference.

Acceptable use

You agree not to copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or attempt to extract the source code or bundled assets of the app, except to the extent permitted by law. You are responsible for using the app safely and in compliance with applicable laws — for example, do not use it while driving or in situations where pointing a camera or wearing headphones could be unsafe.

Your content

Any audio you create with the app is yours. The app processes your camera feed on-device only and does not record or transmit it, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Third-party materials

The app includes sounds derived from the GeneralUser GS SoundFont by S. Christian Collins, used under its license, which permits inclusion in software.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Craig Cowden shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The current version will always be posted on this page.
